20 Famous Role Models That Are Terrible People
The famous role model goes back a long time. Any sports fan remembers when former NBA star Charles Barkley spoke about it publicly. If your kids look up to me, you need to do something about it. He was right. He talked a lot during his career and you never know what a controversial statement will come out of his mouth after that, but he On this fact Samra.
Sure, many role models come from the lives of celebrities. It can’t be helped when she’s in the headlines every single day. With social media the way it is now, there isn’t much that these people do that hasn’t been reported by at least one media outlet. It’s silly to think that the younger generation wouldn’t start looking for some of these guys now and then. Money, fame, women (and men), all of these things are very attractive to young men.
Many of these people are not good people, however, on the stage they live their lives. Today you will read about several so-called “role models” who are truly terrible people. If you are a parent, you may want to share this with your children. If you’re a kid, don’t click, read on and you might learn a thing or two about this celebrity that you think is pretty cool.
01. Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan is a woman who is looked up to by the younger sex as a role model. It’s very hard to see why that is. She was definitely successful in her early teen years and actually seemed like a very nice person. But once she turned 18, that all went out the window.
Did you know that from the day she turned 18, she has spent 86% of her adult life on probation? The opportunities this woman had are incredible. She’s been caught countless times and she’s just not a good person to meet, and definitely not a kid to watch.
02. MTV Teen Moms
The girls on the hit MTV show Teen Mom should never be seen as role models. First, I reluctantly use the term “hit show” because that would give it credit as a really good show. However, a lot of people watch it so I think it can be considered a success.
When a pregnant teen is, she should never be seen as a role model. What they did ruined their lives, and putting them on a TV show isn’t the right solution. Some would say it helps other young people learn what not to do. But it actually also helps teens think that finding themselves is a good thing.
03. Anyone With the Kardashian Name
First of all, the Kardashians have never done anything of real note or given the world anything other than cheap entertainment. If it weren’t for O.J. Simpson, no one knows who they are or cares about the Kardashians anyway.
Sex tapes, gossip, and reality shows keep their name in the headlines. Anyone who regularly makes headlines has some people who look up to them. This is a very bad choice. If you hear the words out of their mouths, you will realize that they should be seen as more embarrassing than role models.
04. Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus as Lindsay Lohan. When she was young (not yet 24) she was successful and seemed to have a lot going for her. Then puberty came and everything changed.
Cyrus has always spent her life looking for the shock factor in everything she does. If you don’t believe me, just type his name into a Google search and the first five results will be enough to confirm things for you. She is no longer the Hannah Montana that everyone knew and loved. She looks like a young version of Howard Stern now and that’s not the person you want your little girl to see.
05. Lance Armstrong
There was no one in the world who was not behind Lance Armstrong. He won a bike race like no other, and then told the world he had cancer. He survived and came back strong and everyone loved him more. He has been a role model for anyone battling cancer.
The world eventually found out that Lance didn’t win all of these races on his own. He had help. I cheated. This instantly transitions him from a role model to a terrible person. He lied to everyone and vehemently denied it before finally coming clean. Some say his eventual admission healed his reputation, but it didn’t really happen. Once a cheater always a cheater.
06. Chris Brown
We hope Chris Brown is not seen as a role model. At one point it was due to the success he had. That all changed in 2009 when he hit his girlfriend, Rihanna. Everything has been downhill for him since then and he deserves it.
He actually tried to play the victim when he told the world about his unresolved anger issues which caused him to be misunderstood by the public. Whatever, Chris. Since then he has been arrested several times and was once charged with falsifying community service, for which he was convicted. There are countless reasons why Chris Brown is a terrible person rather than a role model.
07. Abby Lee Miller
Everyone knows who Abby Miller is. If you don’t, she’s a pretty mean woman who runs the show on Dance Moms. She’s also the director of Reign Dance Productions, so you can do whatever you want with that information to imply that the entire show is fake and that it’s not really offensive as it appears on the show. Then again, it might be.
Some of her favorite methods of training these young girls on the show include shaming, shaming, insulting, yelling, and scaring children. It even tries to get parents involved not only towards their own children but also against other parents.
She is not a good role model for education or upbringing and we can only hope that this show is fraudulent and she really isn’t that scary in real life.
08. Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant recently ended his Hall of Fame basketball career. In 1996, he became the youngest player in the NBA when he was drafted out of high school and began playing with the Los Angeles Lakers. His accomplishments on the court make him a confirmed inductee into the Hall of Fame. However, his actions outside the court leave much to be desired.
He assaulted a hotel attendant in Denver, used racial slurs on more than one occasion and was just as friendly with fans off the field. These are all reasons why she should not be a role model for any child growing up.
09. Alex Rodriguez
Alex Rodriguez finally ended his major league career. We hope so anyway. His contract was the largest in the history of the game and he made a lot of money by playing baseball.
For a long time he was the guy everyone looked up to when it came to not cheating and doing things the right way. This is why his running career stats are so impressive. Until you fall victim to fraud. Then it all went out the window. After that, everything around him got out of control.
He was suspended for a year, allowed his cousin to be arrested and spent time in jail to protect himself, cheated on his wife, threatened to sue Major League Baseball, and then threatened to sue his union to end it. You know who they are, right? The same people who represented him and tried to keep him out of trouble.
It is a disgrace and should not be set as an example to anyone.
10. Justin Bieber
Some of the younger generation look up to Justin Bieber as a role model. Here are some of the reasons why they don’t: flashing people, assaulting paparazzi members, spitting on people, eliminating himself in public, getting into hit-and-run accidents, attacking guards, leaving his pets, and vandalizing things. Graffiti. Cuth, the eggs are hung in neighbors’ homes and he is arrested for a DUI.
Need I say anything else about Mr. Pepper? All of the above combined with the fact that he can’t sing, dance, or act shows you why he shouldn’t be a role model for anyone.
11. Kanye West
When most people don’t win a prize, they congratulate the winner and shut their mouths. It seems Kanye West was raised differently. When he didn’t win Best New Artist in 2004, he told the Associated Press in an interview that he was “robbed.” He won an award a few years later, but lost another during the same ceremony, and then got angry. He interrupted during the winner’s acceptance speech and went into a long tear of foul language to show how angry he was.
He once broke a camera that belonged to a paparazzi and has no connection to the Kardashians? He said enough.
12. Michael Vick
Michael Vick was once the #1 draft pick by the Atlanta Falcons. However, most people have now forgotten him because he did some treacherous things off the field. At one point he was one of the most promising quarterbacks in the NFL and was building himself a stellar career. Every young quarterback wanted to be a Wake.
Then one day he was caught running a dog fighting operation. The details of what happened are very disturbing, and we will not go into them here. He was sentenced to nearly two years in prison, and when he finally returned to the soccer field, he was no shadow of his former self.
The off-field actions that led to his arrest make him a terrible human being, unworthy of being a role model for anyone.
13. Adam “Pac-Man” Jones
Jones is another NFL player who people look up to as a role model simply because he played football. In fact, he got into trouble before he even stepped onto the NFL field.
He was recruited by the Tennessee Titans in 2005 and was arrested for assault before starting his first training camp. The charges were dropped but later in life he showed the world that they may have been true.
He was arrested several times prior to the infamous 2007 incident at a Las Vegas strip club. The dance scene was “rained down” with money and found strippers fighting over money. During the fight, the guards clashed and three people were shot dead. The guard was paralyzed. Later that year, Jones was involved in a shooting outside a joint in Atlanta. This guy is just bad news.
14. Bill Clinton
No man who cheats on his wife should be set as an example to anyone. But in the case of Bill Clinton, he didn’t do enough to qualify for the list. His involvement in a highly shady real estate transaction was illegal, depending on who you ask. If you are looking for a good model, you just read some of the reasons why Clinton is not a good choice.
15. Charlie Sheen
When researching the reasons why Charlie Sheen is such a terrible guy, one has to wonder where to start. A man who was once a role model for aspiring actors has become one of the most hated men in Hollywood, and he has no one to blame.
He shot his wife, was in and out of rehab countless times, hung out with porn stars and spent over $50,000 on Heidi Fleis’ women. Who knows how much I spend on other women’s unsettled wool?
He assaulted his girlfriends and wives, lost custody of his children, had several restraining orders issued against him and was fired from his hit TV show Two and A Hoffman. This does not even refer to the fact that he is HIV positive and has not told anyone for a long time.
Shane is no longer a role model and hasn’t been for a long time. To call him a terrible person is to be nice to him.
16. J.R Smith
Smith is a guy who has been in trouble since the day his name was in the news when he introduced the NBA. Did you know that during the time period from April 22, 2005 to January 10, 2006, he earned 27 points for his driver’s license? To get the full effect, read the last sentence again. He was arrested for eight traffic violations on seven different dates in about nine months. Yes, it was turned off twice in one day.
He was even involved in a car accident that killed one of his best friends. Smith isn’t just a cool guy to watch.
17. Aaron Hernandez
At no time should they be held up as role models. However, again, since he was in the sports headlines every week, there were many young people who looked up to him as a role model.
When the New England Patriots drafted him, they waited until the fourth round due to numerous concerns about his drug use. He had failed several drug tests and no one wanted to take any chances with him. When Pats did, he became a record-breaker.
Hernandez became a murderer and is now sentenced to life in prison. No need to say more.
18. Heidi Montag
First of all, no one on MTV should be anyone’s role model. The channel is full of shows that are hardly worth watching and the people on it are not normal people.
Heidi Montag has become famous on the channel and tells you everything you need to know. She’s had a lot of plastic surgery to keep her figure low and young women around the world think she’s gorgeous. it’s not.
The example you set for young women depends too much on self-image and not enough on who they are. He Said “I was a really bad model in the beauty department and that’s hard to digest.” She added that she no longer compares her appearance to others. “It’s totally Satan and his plans. It’s the exact opposite of what God wants in our lives.”
19. Floyd Mayweather
Floyd Mayweather is one of the worst men to walk the face of the earth – inside a boxing ring. His success in the boxing ring is unmatched by those who fight there. There is no denying what he did as a professional boxer. This is why many people use him as a role model.
However, there is another side to it. Outside of the ring he’s not a good guy at all. His obsession with money goes beyond the common usage of the word. Not to mention the fact that he loves to hit on women. His domestic violence record is just as impressive as his domestic violence record, which is never a good thing. No one should look to him for inspiration in any way shape or form.
20. Nicki Minaj
In 2015, Nicki Minaj was voted one of the two worst role models in the world. Parents are smart enough to know the myriad reasons for not looking at a platform, but the younger generation is usually blind to all of these until they are grown up.
The way she carries herself in public is more embarrassing than anything else. She says something stupid almost every time she opens her lips. Why do you believe the paparazzi are continuously following him? Certainly not because she is a talented singer.
