Abhinetri 2 is a much awaited movie. The movie released today and let’s see how the movie fares.

Movie Review

As time passes, two evil spirits named Ranga Reddy and Alex fall upon Krishna. With this strange avatar, he starts stalking two girls and forces them to marry him. Enraged by this, Devi makes a pact with both the evil spirits. What is that contract? How did Devi save her husband from evil spirits?

Tamannah is the main key of the film. It shows two options and it’s great. Tamannah’s charm is the main attraction and in one of the songs, the star heroine dances extremely well and delivers a great eye candy.

Prabhu Deva is amazing with his dance moves and shows a different side in the avatar he has. His performance in the interval and climax is top notch. The scare scenes that come in the interval and pre-climax are well executed.

The surprise package of the film was Nanditha Swetha. She looked charming in her role and performed well. The concept of the film is also decent.

While director Vijay’s concept was good, his storytelling was subpar. Just for fun, he added some comedy scenes and often distracted the film. It also strayed away from the main theme and focused on unnecessary elements that didn’t create any effect.

Prabhu Deva has two souls and this is a unique twist and could have been showcased well but director Vijay did not take advantage of these situations and was disappointed in his effort to make the film look more commercial.

There is a lot of logic lost in the movie. The hero Prabhu Deva sees his crazy avatar through video footage but remains oblivious till the end of the film. This part seems illogical and stupid.

Music was almost good but BGM was very good. While the editing was perfect in the first half, I was disappointed in the second half. The camera work is top notch as the effects in the horror scenes are quite well showcased. The production values of the film were also good. As far as director Vijay is concerned, he lacked good content and made the proceedings boring with his perverted direction.

Overall

Overall, Abhinetri 2 is a goofy horror-comedy that lacks mainstream. Despite the good content, the creators add boring and unwanted scenes that completely hamper the process. Except for Prabhu Deva’s performance and Tamannah’s glamour, this movie has nothing new to offer. Watch it when it airs and look for even better this weekend.
