NEWS UPDATE|WEST INDIES TOUR OF PAKISTAN 2022|WHEN AND WHERE TO WATCH PAK VS WI ODI SERIES LIVE ON TV|LIVE STREAMING DETAILS|SQUADS, SCHEDULE|DATE AND TIME
Everything you need to know about West Indies’ upcoming tour of Pakistan, which features three ODIs to be played on June 8, 10 and 12 respectively.
The three ODIs have been shifted from Rawalpindi to Multan, given the political certainty in the country’s capital Islamabad.
The West Indies ODI team is currently in Pakistan for a three-match series in Multan, the first of which will be played on June 8. The tour is in continuation of West Indies’ trip to the country in December last year, which was halted following to a covid-19 breakout in the visitors’ camp.
The ODIs were initially scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi, but with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s protest rallies potentially taking place in the country’s capital Islamabad, which is adjacent to Rawalpindi, called for a change in venue. Multan will now host the three games, with each of them to be played under lights.
The ODI series is a part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, which would determine the top eight teams’ direct entry to the 2023 World Cup. West Indies are currently placed fourth in the points table, while Pakistan are at No.10.
